Upper Chesapeake Youth Football League November 6th, 2012 Meeting Minutes
Call to Order: 7:05pm Board Members/Programs in Attendance: Aberdeen, Emmorton, Edgewood, Cecil County, Havre de Grace, Jarrettsville, Perry Hall, North Harford, Fallston, Greg Beaty, Bob Chubb, Bob Elliott, Charlie Dawson, Tonya Berry, Duvowel Peeker, Tom Coard , John Schofield and Debbe Jones. Meeting Minutes for October were provided for all to review. Danny motioned to approve, Ian second minutes and all members in attendance approved minutes.
President Report:
Greg apologized to all regarding the emails and also for not including the entire EB on the ruling of the CC 14U issue.
Discussion began regarding the suspension placed by the BOG regarding the CC 14u player, coach and program chair. Majority of members agreed that there was a breakdown in communication starting with the executive board regarding this issue and not all information given during the BOG conference call that took place. We had 7 out of 9 BOG members present during this meeting. 6 of the 7 BOG members agreed that this issue needed to be re-evaluated and voted on. Result of vote: 6 out of 7 voted to lift suspension of the player, coach, program chair and home games given back for the upcoming playoff games.
Greg asked everyone’s opinion about the plates for the Championship trophies…all agreed to keep it generic.
Discussion regarding the format of BOG and EB, Danny advised that this will be reviewed and discuss and the December BOG meeting
Greg advised all EB members to please review the current rules and if there needs to be any updates/changes to the rule book, please bring to the December meeting.
VP of Scheduling:
If storm comes in during Playoff games, they will then take place Sunday, Monday or Tuesday. Weather is looking good for the upcoming Championship games.
CC games are now back at home. Revised schedule will be out tomorrow morning.
Communications Director:
Discussion regarding the web site, Sean Dowling currently owns the Domain name which limits the Director to make any updates or changes needed to the site.
Greg will speak to Sean regarding the site.
Division Commissioners:
John spoke about having EB members at each of the sites during Championship games. Greg will work on a schedule for the board members.
Tom Coard spoke to everyone regarding upcoming Charity Powder-Puff Game. Programs involved are Emmorton, Fallston and BelAir and the Charity is Home for our troops. Event will take place at Patterson Mill HS. Debbe Jones will send out email to everyone with additional details.
